　　上周末，我和朋友一起与北京植物园逛了一圈，虽然已经过了花开的季节，没有看到大片的花海，但是园中的植物资源真的非常丰富，让我认识了很多从来没见过的植物，收获颇丰。我向来就比较喜欢花花草草，虽然没有见到我最喜欢的牡丹花，但这一趟去的还是值得的。今天呢，我就想结合这道雅思口语话题，来说说我最喜欢的牡丹花。

　　自古以来，牡丹就是文人墨客争相描写的对象，唐代诗人刘禹锡就写有：“唯有牡丹真国色，花开时节动京城。”，我觉得这个描述真的是太准确了!

　　This topic reminds me of the peony.

　　They are very nurturing and in symbolism in the Victorian language of flowers, they represent prosperity, compassion, and bashfulness, and right now, because of covid-19, with the economy and jobs and the businesses and the struggles, such prosperity is something we would want to wish for everyone.

　　The biggest reason why I like peonies is because they are such gorgeous flowers, they come in so many different colors and by colors, for example the one with the blush and the yellow in the grand opening out, and probably the most common that we are used to seeing are the great big pink ones, for me coral charm is always a favorite, you know, switches out from a very deep coral to almost a parchmenty peach, so they kind of evolved going through a life cycle, which is so fun.

　　On top of that, they have different types of petals too, and how it’s in layers, very blousy and roughly, you know, they are just stunning. I always think of them as a very feminine flower.
