Describe an occasion when you were not allowed to use your mobile phone
You should say:
When it was
Where it was
Why you were not allowed to use your mobile phone
And how you felt about it
Bluetooth:
Voice Prompt:
Walkie-Talkie:步话机
Monternet:
Roaming:漫游
Generation Five 5G
1. When it was
Example one:
Just when the plane was about to take off, my phone suddenly rang. I felt so embarrassed as everyone on the plane could hear my ringtone.
2.Where it was
Example one:
It happened last weekend when I traveled to Beijing to see my old friend. He worked in a science laboratory located on the outskirts of Beijing. Out of curiosity, I asked if he could show me around his workplace, so he happily gave me a guided tour.
Example two:
In fact, I didn’t realize that until my recent experience at the gas station.
It was last weekend when my parents and I drove to a nearby city for a short trip. When our car was low on gas, we had to stop at a gas station.
3.Why you were not allowed to use your mobile phone
Example one:
It wasn’t the first time that I’ve taken the plane and I was aware that the use of mobile phones was not allowed on the plane as it could interfere with the signal, potentially causing serious accidents.
Example two:
Just as I excitedly entered the premises, the staff working there reminded me that I wasn’t allowed to bring my phone inside as it would interfere with the operation of all the high-tech devices in the lab.
4. And how you felt about it
Example:
I had a lot of respect for the science team, as they were so meticulous with every single detail. Even though I couldn’t take my phone with me and take a photo inside, I had no regrets, as it’s more important to support their work by being accommodating to their rules.
I think there are a few places where people are not allowed to use their phones and failure to do so can lead to regrettable danger. In fact, I didn’t realize that until my recent experience at the gas station.
It was last weekend when my parents and I drove to a nearby city for a short trip. When our car was low on gas, we had to stop at a gas station. At that moment, I remembered an important matter that had to be communicated with a friend, so I took my phone out, ready to make a call. A member of the staff saw me and quickly stopped me. He explained that the use of mobile phones was strictly prohibited at the gas station, as a mobile phone could generate a spark released from the battery, which potentially could cause an explosion, which would be extremely hazardous at a gas station. I was quite nervous after he told me, as I wasn’t aware of this possibility at all. Fortunately, he stopped me in time, otherwise, I could’ve caused some serious trouble.
Ever since this experience, I’ve been much more alert about using mobile phones in places like this and I’ve become more aware of safety in an environment with flammable items. It’s always a good idea to be on the cautious side as we never know what can happen next.
